Frank A. Schuler, III, MD is one of the senior partners of the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. Dr. Schuler began his plastic surgery private practice in Newport News in 1980. He was joined by Dr. Alexander McArthur in 1985. The five surgeon group that is now known as Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads formed in 1995 and brought together over 75 years of surgical experience. MORE>
Alexander McArthur, III, MD is one of the senior partners here at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. He joined Dr. Schuler in 1985. Dr. McArthur received his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia earning the John Gibbon Award for best surgical student in the medical school. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut-Hartford Hospital. He was then selected by Duke University for their prestigious plastic surgery residency program. Dr. McArthur then went to Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky for a hand surgery fellowship. MORE>
Peter Vonu, MD received his medical degree and completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Ohio. During his plastic surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr. Vonu discovered his greatest interest was in cosmetic procedures and went on to continue his training in cosmetic surgery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Michael F. Zwicklbauer, MD, FACS, is called "Dr. Z" by patients and staff at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. He joined the practice in 1997. Dr. "Z" received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts where he received the Charles Eckert Award for Exceptional Achievement in Surgery. He was then selected for a hand fellowship specializing in microsurgery at the University of Miami followed by a fellowship in plastic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. MORE>
T. Randall (Randy) Blanchard, MD, FACS joined Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in 1999. He is a fully trained plastic surgeon having received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his general surgical training at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He then completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Tennessee. MORE>
